Tour of  Magdić Distillery

The air carries the scent of orchards. Large copper stills hum gently. In your glass you will find excellent liqueurs, rakija and pelinkovac. The line-up includes Williams pear, plum and quince brandies (nearest translation of rakija), a range of nut and fruit liqueurs, and a London Dry gin with a clean aromatic profile. The family estate shows off the best of the local landscape with extensive orchards and a carefully tended garden that creates a relaxed and inviting setting.

Behind every label stands the owner, Igor Magdić, an enthusiast and entrepreneur who transformed a family tradition into a contemporary craft operation. Magdić Distillery is located at Donje Taborište 147 in Slunj. Visits are arranged in advance, so please call ahead to schedule your time. The distance from Lyra Hotel Plitvice to Slunj is approximately 32 kilometers, which is about a thirty-minute drive depending on traffic.
