As part of the Lyra Christmas Beat Advent event, Lyra doubled the collected donations and secured more than €3,600 for Slapić Kindergarten. The charity initiative was carried out with the support of guests and the local community, and the funds will be used to purchase new educational materials.
At Lyra Hotel, we believe the holiday season is not only about decorations and lights, but also about coming together as a community to make a difference. This year’s Advent during Lyra Christmas Beat had a special purpose, combining festive celebration with meaningful support for the youngest members of our community.
As part of the Advent programme, we welcomed the Balončići educational group from Slapić Kindergarten. On December 2, the children arrived full of excitement and curiosity, greeted by a beautifully decorated hotel, a warm atmosphere and our smiling team who ensured every moment felt special.
Part of the festive food offering was complimentary for all visitors, while funds were raised through the sale of other Advent products and activities.
The amount collected together with our guests was doubled by Lyra and donated in full to Slapić Kindergarten. Together, we secured more than €3,600 for the purchase of new educational materials.

During their visit, the children took part in a creative Christmas card workshop. The handmade cards were later gifted to hotel guests who supported the initiative with donations. They toured the hotel, enjoyed lunch in our restaurant and closely observed our team at work. The day concluded with a raffle and small holiday gifts, while their spontaneous singing and dancing became the most heartfelt thank you.
Later, the kindergarten shared with us that on their way back, the children enthusiastically talked about every detail of the day, from the festive decorations to the restaurant experience, expressing a sincere wish to visit Lyra again. Once back at the kindergarten, their impressions quickly turned into creativity. Inspired by what they had experienced, the children expressed their memories through drawings of the hotel, the workshop and their favourite moments.
“When you see a child’s smile and genuine excitement, you realise how meaningful these moments truly are. At Lyra, it is not enough for us to simply organise an event. We want to create lasting memories and leave a positive impact in our community. We are proud that together with our guests we were able to support Slapić Kindergarten and show that the magic of the holidays truly matters when it is shared,” said the management of Lyra Hotel.
This year’s Advent during Lyra Christmas Beat demonstrated how powerful stories can be created when goodwill, togetherness and a desire to brighten someone’s everyday life come together. More than €3,600 has been transformed into tangible support for children’s development, while the smiles we witnessed remain the most valuable part of the entire story.
