Red deer are especially impressive, both strong and elegant. The male, known locally as “košutnjak” or “vilenjak”, can weigh over 200 kilograms, and their antlers can grow over a meter wide. They shed and regrow these antlers every year, a remarkable natural process you’ll learn more about on the tour. And best of all, you’ll experience it all in person.

In addition to red deer, you’ll also encounter fallow deer as you walk through the ranch. Their most distinctive feature is the palmate shape of the males’ antlers – broad, flat, and gently serrated, like the spread of a hand. Though different in size and temperament, these species coexist peacefully. Fallow deer tend to stay closer to visitors, moving in small herds, while red deer keep a noble distance, observing from afar.
